Golisano’s Childrens Museum of Naples has been hosting Castlez For Kids on the Beaches of Naples for six years running and this year, despite some hiccups, it went beautifully.
A surprisingly not scorching Sunday morning with a gorgeous beach, donated by the LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort, was destined to be enjoyed by the dozens of kids present.
“It took some rescheduling, but there was no way we were canceling it. It’s too important to us at the Museum, much less the children,” Carolina Diaz, marketing coordinator for the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples said.
Originally scheduled for August, red tide along Naples beaches caused C’Mon to postpone the event, hoping for cleaner shores. The kids had a lot to do, building sand castles is hard work. Pirate actors were along for the ride, as well as plenty of food, also catered by LaPlaya.
The competition only lasted a short morning, but there seemed to be plenty of smiles throughout.
“It’s been amazing all morning, there’s so much energy and we’re just as excited,” said Laura Richardson, C’Mon Event Manager.
With the competition on, there was quite a bit of fun for everybody, with raffles and giveaways throughout the event.
