Craft beer fans descended upon Hammond Stadium on Saturday for the 13th Ballpark Festival of Beers.
Beer drinkers had the chance to try over 100 craft brews, including several local breweries such as Point Ybel and Old Soul. It made for an all you can try bonanza.
“It’s a good time, obviously, but getting to check out the variety of beer here that I wouldn’t normally have access to is pretty fun,” Dominik Basil, of Fort Myers, said. “The turnout is pretty big, I didn’t expect to see this many people.
In addition to beers, several food vendors from local restaurants were on hand, along with live music, making for a lively atmosphere along the Hammond concourses.
The girls from Point Ybel were almost paragons of excitement the whole night carrying on and laughing and smiling with everyone.
“It’s just fun to do this kind of event, honestly, it lets us get away from the brewery and have a good time showing people our craft,” one said while posing for pictures.
