Florida Highway Patrol discovered the remains of two persons inside of a vehicle that appeared to have run off the road and submerged near a boat ramp approximately 15 miles from the Collier-Broward border.
On Tuesday morning, the vehicle was discovered near mile marker 35 on Interstate 75.
Divers from the Broward Sheriff’s Office removed the decedents from the water.
The vehicle matches the description of one belonging to an FGCU student and his friend. Both Sebastian Ramos and Josh Lausche were reported missing.
The Florida Highway Patrol indicated that they are investigating to determine if the vehicle is indeed the missing Fort Myers car.
The Naples Herald is awaiting positive identification and additional information.
