Deputies arrested a man who allegedly kidnapped and repeatedly sexually battered a juvenile girl in Lehigh Acres over the weekend.
According to the Lee County Sheriff Office, deputies responded to reports that a juvenile was being held against her will and sexually battered at a home in Lehigh. A neighbor witnessed the victim fleeing the house and calling out for help. When the good Samaritan attempted to help the girl, the suspect grabbed her, forced her into a car, and sped off.
After an extensive search of a wooded area, deputies found the victim in the car with her hands bound. The suspect, Elgron Taylor, 61, attempted to flee in his vehicle but was quickly caught.
The victims was treated for injuries sustained throughout the incident and a search warrant was obtained for Taylor’s home.
He has been charged with kidnapping and sexual battery and booked at the Lee County Jail.
