A Golden Gate Estates man is behind bars Tuesday after deputies say he fired a bullet into his neighbor’s home.
Collier County Sheriff’s Deputies charged William Molloy III, 36, on Tuesday with discharging a firearm in public or residential property, a misdemeanor, related to a May incident.
According to deputies, a neighbor found a bullet hole in their master bedroom with the fragment inside the home on May 21. None of the three residents inside the home were harmed.
Deputies say that Molloy allegedly fired rounds from a .40 caliber pistol into dirt berms in the backyard of his home earlier that day. The house which received the bullet home was located behind one of the berms.
Detectives arrested Molloy after a warrant was approved on Monday.
