A missing FGCU student has been found safely and is with his family, the university said Thursday.
Christopher Woodard, 23, was reported missing by FGCU police on Saturday, after having not been seen or heard from since Friday evening, after driving his car off campus.
According to FGCU spokesperson Susan Evans, the university’s police department closed the case after they were contacted by Woodard’s mother, Jaquelyn Sims on Thursday informing them that Woodard was safe and with them in Orlando.
It was believed that Woodard was in the area after his debit card was used at a pair of restaurants in the Orlando area earlier this week.
