Naples was ranked among the top 10 sports and adventure vacation sports in the nation, according to a recent survey.
The Naples area ranked No. 9 in the U.S. Tourism Quality Index done by Resonance, which reviewed destination ratings on TripAdvisor, and ranked them based on the number of “very good” and “excellent” reviews.
“The white sand beaches and clear, calm waters in Naples serve as an outstanding backdrop for adventure activities, from stand-up paddle boarding and jet skiing to classic coastal favorites like boating and fishing” said Jack Wert, executive director of Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention & Visitor’s Bureau in a release. “And with Naples’ proximity to Everglades National Park, Big Cypress National Preserve and the Ten Thousand Islands, visitors and locals have the flexibility to experience more off-the-grid adventures like multi-day kayak expeditions, wilderness hikes or exploration of the pristine cypress swamps in pole boats or on giant swamp buggies.”
Naples was one of three Florida destinations on the top 10 list, with Destin coming in at No. 5, and Miami at No. 6. The Hawaiian island of Oahu topped the chart.
