Police have identified the victim in a shooting in San Carlos Park Tuesday night.

Lee County Sheriff’s say Jonathan Delices, 23, was killed in a dispute which escalated into violence.

Deputies responded to a call of shots fired at approximately 8:30 pm Tuesday in the 19000 block of Pine Run Lane, just west of Three Oaks Parkway. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office blocked off the entrance to the Pine Run community in Three Oaks and restricted access to the area from Cypress Chase to Cypress Vista Road.

Shortly after 1:00 am Wednesday, an LCSO spokesperson said that the Major Crimes Unit was investigating what they’re deeming a homicide. Police say they believe the shooting was the consequence of a dispute at the nearby Gulf Coast Town Center, which spilled over into the neighborhood and violence.

Deputies are still on the search for another person involved.
