Deputies seeking suspects in string of convenience store robberies

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office believes a convenience store robbery on Sunday night may be connected to two other robberies in Collier County in the past week.

Sunday night, deputies responded to the 7 Food Mart at 2332 Santa Barbara Boulevard shortly before 10 p.m. According to security footage released, two armed men entered the store and demanded money, one armed with a handgun, the other armed with a rifle.

Both suspects were wearing face masks, one in a camouflage jacket, the other in a black jacket.

Deputies have released the surveillance video from Sunday’s robbery.

This is the third armed robbery of a convenience store in the last nine days. On June 10, the Rose Supermarket in East Naples was robbed at around 9 p.m., while K Square Food Mart on Tamiami Trail E was robbed around 9:30 p.m. on June 12.

Only one man entered the store in each of those two robberies.

Deputies are asking that anyone with information which could lead to identifying the suspects contact Collier County Sheriff’s Office at 239-252-9300, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS(8477).
