FGCU Baseball in Freefall, Loses Sixth Straight

“naplesOn the heels of a five-game losing streak, the FGCU baseball team (28-16, 4-8 ASUN) traveled to the east coast of Florida to face in-state rival FAU (26-13-1, 12-6 C-USA) for a midweek battle on Tuesday night.  The result was a 13-1 loss, losing their sixth contest in a row.

FGCU, who fell behind 5-0 in the second inning, gave up four more runs in the third and allowed four more in the fifth to trail 13-0.

“FAU was better than us tonight, plain and simple,” said FGCU Head Coach Dave Tollett.
