Publix Super Markets presented Grace Place for Children and Families with a check for $20,000 during a ceremony held at their corporate headquarter in Lakeland last Thursday. Chief Development Officer Barbara Evans accepted the check on behalf of the Golden Gate City based organization.
“We are so grateful for this opportunity provided by Publix to support Grace Place for Children and Families,”said Evans. Publix has been a consistent supporter of Grace Place, and a sponsor for ‘A Swing of Grace’ golf outing benefiting Grace Place. We are thankful that Publix continues to give back to the communities where it does business.”
Publix donated more than $779,000 to 27 non-profit organizations during the ceremony.
Grace Place is a faith-based educational nonprofit that seek to raise families out of poverty by teaching literacy, language, and life skills to at risk children. The organization currently enrolls over 800 individuals in education programs for both children and adults.
