SWFL Crime Stoppers Case of the Week: The Home Invasion Murder of Eric Duff

“naplesFour-year-old Ayva loves her grandmother, Pamela Duff, very much. She loved her father, Eric, as well.

Ayva’s four-year-old world brutally changed in the first hours of February 17, 2017.

While Ayva resides in California, her father Eric was a resident of a rental home on the 5800 block of Guest Court in North Fort Myers. The residence, situated on a secluded cul-de-sac just west of Orange Grove Boulevard, appeared to be rented out by the room and new residents reportedly replaced prior residents on a regular basis.

At approximately 2:00 a.m., the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call for service only to find the body of 32-year-old Eric Duff.

“I heard my daughter crying and I heard somebody’s dead, so I went out there and asked who’s dead, who’s dead and nobody would look at me,” shared Pamela Duff. “Nobody would say anything and immediately I knew. I just knew.”
