Jimmy P’s Burgers & More: For The Hungry at Heart

“naplesImpatient for the real Philly Cheesesteak? Locals now have the closest thing to the real deal at Jimmy P’s Burgers & More on 1201 Piper Boulevard in Naples.

Even though they opened barely 6 months ago, you’ll find a very busy lunch and dinner crowd – which I adoringly call ‘the hustle and bustle of Immokalee Road.’ This establishment marks the third of a family owned and operated business under Jim Pepper.

Deriving from a reputable background as a third generation butcher, Jim Pepper and his son Jimmy Jr., had opened Jimmy P’s Butcher Shop and Deli in 2002 ago specializing in Wagyu beef, Heritage Berkshire Pork, Poultry, Lamb, Veal and Exotic Game Meats.

And, if that’s not enough, Jimmy P’s has two on-site smokehouses where they produce their own deli meats, baby back ribs, beef jerky, smoked sausages and many other gourmet items.

Jimmy P’s Charred later opened. It’s no mistake that Jimmy P’s Burgers & More now offers the same quality meats but at a faster service. Orders are taken at the counter inside by two attendants with a billboard of Wagyu craft burgers and hot dogs, deli sandwiches, salad and steaks options hanging overhead. You get you a number on a table stand, pour a cold drink from the dispensers in the back and find a seat. The food order is served right to you.

jimmy p's brisketMy first dish was the Homemade Pastrami Sandwich with melted swiss cheese and deli mustard on a soft onion bun and a side of extra-large onion rings.

How amazing! There was a huge burst of flavor with every bite as the warm juices from the pastrami intertwined with the oozing cheese. Being from New York, I’m used to big deli sandwiches with big flavor and this sandwich totally is where it’s at!

I knew I had to leave room in my belly because the next thing that I had was the Jimmy P’s BBQ Burger.

On the side, was lettuce, tomato and sliced pickle – if you could squeeze it in. The beef grade and texture is a true measure of excellence.

With a few sips from my iced tea, I watched as the grand finale of sandwiches made its way to my table. The Philly Cheesesteak Sub looked great dressed up with provolone cheese, sautéed peppers, onions and mushrooms. It was simply a mouthful of deliciousness.

Many on-lookers were in admiration as they noticed a food item rarely seen in these parts. There’s no need to be home sick when you could have this baby anytime at Jimmy P’s.

I couldn’t help but notice that the General Manager, Eric, was the busiest manager I’d ever seen. Very friendly while keeping this eatery very organized and having the time to describe the warm family atmosphere inside the kitchen as well as on the outside.

Lucky for us, we have the option of enjoying a meal served at three locations in Naples, plus a deli and market for producing your own tasty meals at home.
