The Naples Police Department arrested a man they believe to be connected to an early February auto burglary in downtown Naples.
According to a Naples PD arrest report, 38-year-old Eduardo Garvin of Naples was arrested and faces charges of robbery by ‘sudden snatching, burglary of a conveyance and grand theft.’
The charges stem from a report of an auto burglary on Feb. 9 on 8th Street South near the east side of Cambier Park in downtown Naples. Garvin and an accomplice were allegedly seen entering a car and removing a purse. The car was reportedly unlocked.
The suspect was last seen driving away from the scene in a white Cadillac with a vinyl top.
Surveillance cameras in Cambier and Fleischmann Parks were instrumental in finding the suspect, according to Naples PD.
Garvin is also suspected in a robbery that occurred last week on March 23 at Fleischmann Park, in which the suspect approached an adult male and allegedly stole a necklace from the victim’s neck. The white Cadillac was seen at the scene of this crime as well, with the registration connected to Eduardo Garvin.
The report says Garvin allegedly admitted to committing both crimes, including selling the necklace at a pawn shop in Naples.
Garvin is being held at the Collier County Jail on $115,000 bond.
