Pedestrian Airlifted After Immokalee Hit-and-Run

“naples57-year-old Immokalee resident Jesse Ray Teague the victim of a hit and run last night. According to a Florida Highway Patrol crash report, Teague was struck on Sunday evening, on North 15th Street (SR 29) while bicycling across the roadway.

According to FHP, Teague was attempting to cross from the west side of North 15th Street near the eastern bend of the roadway at approximately 10:20 p.m. when struck just south of Roberts Avenue West.

The driver of the unidentified vehicle fled the scene and the Florida Highway Patrol is asking the community to contact them should they have any information regarding the incident.

FHP believes that the vehicle that struck Teague was a black pickup truck, possibly a Ford F-150 or Chevrolet Silverado that is either a two-tone vehicle or has a gray stripe along its side.

Jesse Teague was transported, via Medflight to Lee Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
