Today, October 10, marks three months since the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 1:46 a.m. call for service to Goodwin Street in Bonita Springs.
Reportedly, multiple gunshots rang out inside of the residence, some of which struck and killed 19-year-old Jordan Valero.
The frantic call was placed by Jordan’s roommate.
“He’s never going to walk through that door again,” stated Becky Calzadilla, Jordan’s mother, in a recent interview with Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers. “The goals he had for the future…the plans he made…none of them are going to come true.”
According to Trish Routte, SWFL Crime Stoppers Coordinator, detectives at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office “strongly believe” that the homicide was not a random act and that Valero was targeted.
