The twin Tulias are bringing back some popular Naples events in the coming weeks.
Cru Night, a bi-annual event at Osteria Tulia showcasing a special iconic, rare single-vineyard Italian wine, returns on October 12. Osteria Tulia is one of 50 restaurants in the country to pour Corbaia 2011 from Castello di Bossi – a Super Tuscan made with Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, according to the restaurant.
The wine reveals jammy aromas of black currants, cherries, and cassis backed by hints of tobacco, mocha, and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is “full-bodied yet supple and layered with a rich texture and well-integrated tannins.”
Winebow sommelier Marcello Palazzi will serve as guest sommelier for Tulia, and Chef and owner Vincenzo Betulia will feature an exclusive 2-course meal to pair with the rare wine, which will only be available for the one-time event or until it runs out.
For more information, guests can make reservations at www.OsteriaTulia.com or 239-213-2073.
Osteria Tulia’s neighbor and fellow Tulia, Bar Tulia, is kicking off a fall guest bartender series on October 20 with Julio Cabrera, a Cuban native who has been transforming the cocktail culture in Miami for nearly 25 years.
Cabrera has won some national awards for bartending and has even graced the cover of GQ Magazine. Today, Cabrera can be found shaking up some of Miami’s most creative cocktails at The Regent Cocktail Club.
Cabrera will start bartending at 6 p.m. until close. He will be mixing rum-inspired drinks including, Hemingway Special, Presidente and Hotel Nacional. No reservations required.
