For some, the words ‘healthy eating’ never seem to excite or look good side by side in a sentence.
Choosing healthy eats can feel mundane and more like a job than a time where you should be relaxed and satisfied. When the planet is beaming with cheesy pizzas and beautifully decorated doughnuts, why would we ever want to sit in front of a plate of lettuce and carrots?
I’m here to tell you that not only is it a good idea to consume healthy meals often, it can actually be rewarding and downright delicious. Figuring out how to incorporate these sweet indulgences into your new wholesome diet can be difficult and some recipes can just seem so out of reach. For those who are looking to walk the line of food enlightenment and clean up their diet, it can be the most difficult when feeling restricted.
When a person makes the conscious decision to shift their focus on eating more sustainable and healthy foods, one of the first things to go are typically the ones that emotionally and mentally make us feel satisfied. Sweets, meats, cheeses, breads, and the monthly go-to tub of ice cream can be a thing of the past for the first week or two. However, once reality sets in, you begin to feel the cravings ten fold and your sweet tooth begins to ache.
Socially you can feel left out, your friends may mock you for being a “health nut” or you show up to a birthday party with carrots and celery sticks when everyone else brings cupcakes and donut holes. Human beings do not like to feel restricted; we will always gravitate toward the things we know we cannot or should not have – hence the reason for many large diet fads failing, which makes you feel even worse. I am here to tell you there is a cure for your sweet tooth blues, and you may even find that these are tastier then the normal go-to brownie.
So sure, set a goal, but be real with yourself and set your bar at an attainable level. One of the hardest things about any diet is satisfying you sweet tooth. Sugar is literally addictive, and sweets are the first thing to get in the way of a better overall diet.
What if I were to tell you that those days are a thing of the past? What if I were to tell you that you don’t have to starve your sweet tooth, you just have to make smarter choices?
It’s truthfully that easy. Incorporating foods that contain no refined sugars, no dairy, no grains, and are non-GMO is a good place to start. Leave out all of the nonsense so not only your body and mind can flourish, but your tastebuds begin to adapt to a new way of, well, tasting! Say goodbye to the typical “low carb, fat free” (cardboard tasting, come on, do I really have to eat this!) junk that you buy in stores and say hello to some of the easiest recipes you will find.
Each of these recipes have 5 steps or less and prep-times less than 10 minutes!! That’s faster than getting in your car, going to the grocery store, deciding if you want regular or double stuffed oreos, waiting in line at the register, paying for the oreos, driving home… okay, you get the point!
NO MOO PATTIES
Paleo | Grain Free | Gluten Free | Dairy Free | Guilt Free
2 Ripe Avocados
1/2 Cup of Coconut Sugar
1/2 Cup of Cacao or Dark Cocoa Powder 1/2 tsp of Baking Soda
Optional: 1/4 Cup of Cacao Nibs
How do I make them?
1) Pre-Heat the oven to 350 degrees
2) Simply mix your ingredients in a food processor or a high speed blender.
3) Take two spoons and dollop them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
4) Bake patties for 8-10 minutes.
5) Take them out to cool, and enjoy!

1 Banana Smashed
1/4 Cup of Coconut Oil (melted)
2 Tablespoons of Coconut Nectar
1/2 tsp of Pure Vanilla Extract
6 Tablespoons of Cacao Powder
1.5 Cups of Shredded Unsweetened Coconut 1 Tablespoon of Chia Seed (optional)
Pinch of Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
How do I make them?
1) Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
2) In a large mixing bowl, mash the banana and mix in the cacao, vanilla and coconut oil
3) Pour in the rest of the ingredients, and slowly fold in the coconut shreds.
4) Grab and spoon, wet your hands and make them into bite size balls.
5) Place them in the freezer to cool for about 30 Minutes, take out and enjoy!
EGGSTATIC SUPERFOOD PANCAKES
Dairy Free | Grain Free | Gluten Free | Guilt Free
2 Eggs (free range from happy hens)
1/2 Cup of Spinach (optional, but kids love green pancakes!) 1/2 Tsp of Maca Powder (optional)
Hemp Seeds, Blueberries, Banana, Cacao Nibs, Walnuts
How do I make them?
1) Heat up some coconut oil in a non-stick pan
2) Put both ingredients in a blender, or magic bullet
3) Pour the blend in a measuring cup for easy pouring
4) Depending on how big you want your pancakes pour into the pan & cook for 1-2 minutes per side
5) Take off the pan, top with your favorite fruit, and enjoy!
