One of Naples’ hottest, and newest, restaurants has not garnered early success by accident.
Years of hard work and tutelage led Master Chef Koko to Southwest Florida, opening Zen Asian BBQ late last year.
The restaurant features a unique take on Asian-inspired dishes.
“Our menu is inspired by PanAsian cuisine, including contemporary Japanese, Thai, Chinese and Korean dishes. We will use only the finest quality, fresh ingredients and all of Zen’s noodles will be made in-house to order. Our sushi chefs will engage with diners as they explain their techniques and offer suggestions based on individual preferences,” said Chef Koko.
Chef Koko was influenced by his culinary training in Japan, as well as his tutelage under internationally acclaimed Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto. He began fine-tuning his traditional culinary techniques at his family’s restaurant in Thailand.
Zen Asian BBQ is self-described as a “Rustic Japanese Pub Mixed with Korean BBQ and Next Level Sushi.”
The restaurant has garnered so much positive feedback from the community that Chef Koko has opted to open his doors for lunch.
Zen Asian BBQ is featuring a number of specials for lunch patrons, including meals for less than ten bucks and a soup and salad bar, Pad Thai, chicken teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, sushi/sashimi combo, fried rice, gyoza, ramen and steamed buns.
Zen’s Asian BBQ is open every day for lunch and dinner.
