David Krebs, 41, of the 200 block of Benson Street, was arrested Tuesday by Collier deputies at 8000 block of Grand Lely Drive.
According to an arrest report, the victim met Krebs on a phone app called Grindr where users can interact with local gay men.
The victim told deputies he downloaded the app because he was attempting to contact a friend who had been missing.
Deputies said once the victim downloaded the app he became overwhelmed at the number of messages he received.
One of the messages he received from Krebs who went by “Dave” and had a picture of a younger man, estimated to be in his twenties as his profile picture, reports said.
The victim said he thought “Dave” was attractive so agreed to chat with him and made plans to hang out.
According to reports, Krebs picked up the victim from his home on Saturday and brought him back to his home where he then offered the victim to perform sexual acts.
The victim told deputies that he told Krebs he didn’t feel comfortable but that he didn’t want to make Krebs angry so he obeyed what Krebs told him to do.
Krebs took the victim home later that night, reports said.
Deputies said that a forensic examination was performed on the victim and after further investigation they were able to locate Krebs at his place of employment, The Players Club and Spa, where he made a full confession.
Krebs told deputies that he was not aware that the teen was a minor because you have to be 18 years or older to join the Grindr app where he met him.
Krebs faces felony charges of unlawful sex act with a minor and obscenity-traveling to meet with a minor.
