Alto Live Jazz Kitchen, a restaurant by Charles Mereday, announces its band lineup for February 2015, including a Thursday, Feb. 12 performance by world-renowned jazz guitarist, Russell Malone.
Live music at Alto Live Jazz Kitchen, begins at 7 p.m. nightly and requires no cover charge. Alto’s band lineup for the month of February includes Latin jazz with the Joe Delaney Sextet on Mondays; the Jerry Stawski Duo on Tuesdays; the Stu Shelton Trio on Wednesdays; the Dan Heck Trio on Thursdays; Rebecca Richardson’s Quartet on Fridays; the Dan Miller and Lew Del Gatto Quintet on Saturdays, and Rick Howard’s Alto Blues All-Stars on Sundays.
Alto will host a special appearance by Russell Malone on Thursday, Feb. 12. Cover charge for the evening is $10 per person for standing room in the bar area and $25 per person in the main dining room.
Russell Malone is a self-taught swing and bebop jazz guitarist who began playing at the age of four. Highlights of Mr. Malone’s career include working with Jimmy Smith, Harry Connick, Jr., Diana Krall, and being voted best jazz guitarist by Down Beat magazine’s critic’s poll in 1998.
Alto Live Jazz Kitchen is a supper club open daily at 4 p.m. for bar seating. Dinner is served 5 -11 p.m. Monday thru Thursday, 5 p.m.-midnight on Friday and Saturday nights, and 5-10 p.m. on Sunday.
